COMMEMORATION OF SLAVERY ABOLITION
The Grand Triangle Association is organizing an exceptional commemoration of slavery abolition in the United States from May 15 to May 25. This event will mark the twenty-third anniversary of the adoption of the "Taubira Law" in France on May 10, 2001, recognizing slavery as a crime against humanity. The program includes conferences, artistic exhibitions, ancestral rituals, and a cultural celebration, aiming to raise awareness and advocate for global recognition of slavery as a crime against humanity. As a member of the UN ECOSOC, the Grand Triangle Association continues its commitment to global justice and understanding. The African Union also joins this celebration, symbolizing a step towards international unity and historical awareness.
