Who we are

THE FOUNDER

Mr. Lancine Terrance DIAKITE, Founder of the organization with the emblematic name of  »Grand Triangle » and native of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, in West Africa, knowing that public opinion has always known that the history of the  »House of Slaves » on the Island of Gorée was built on the history of the triangular trade of black slaves, without knowing that the Ivory Coast could also have historical sites on slavery in its existence until the day when, during a business trip, he went to Grand-Beréby, in 1998 in the Republic of Ivory Coast.

The Organization’s Description

In 1999, in its development, the Grand Triangle, Inc.

was created in memory of the infamous slave trade,

to denounce and resolve the painful historical ties between Europe, Africa and the Americas for a definitive reconciliation in the minds of the descendants of both Africa and the West itself.

The Grand Triangle, Inc. Official Registration

On August 28, 2000, Grand Triangle was officially registered and incorporated in the State of New York, United States of America under Employer Identification Number (EIN) 13-413-4510, in Section 501 (c)(3) as a public charity. It has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since April 2011.

The Organization’s Location

The organization is headquartered in Manhattan/New York City, (NYC) and is led by Executive Director and partner Ms. Ann DIAKITE-BROWN, a native of Washington, D.C. and a descendant of the Great Historical Quander Family based in Maryland, USA and with the Ashanti tribe of Ghana as her family tree.     

The organization, Grand Triangle, Inc. is dedicated to paying tribute to all those who, in the continuity of their elders and predecessors, have sacrificed themselves for justice and equity, for the respect of moral virtues and Universal Brotherhood. The Grand Triangle, Inc. is represented on the three continents of Africa, Europe and America.
